Position the trunk on the front of the slipper and whipstitch across the top edge using MC (fig 2). Fasten off and weave in the end.

To finish the eyes, use 15mm buttons for Kids’ sizes or 20mm buttons for Adults’ sizes. Sew the buttons on each side of the gusset seams (fig 3), placing them right up against the trunk (see Useful Information: Sewing Buttons).

With RS facing, position the ears along each side of the slipper, leveling up the center of the ears with the eyes (fig 3). Whipstitch the ears across the bottom edge on WS, using the long MC tail from each ear (fig 4). Do not sew on RS. Fasten off and weave in the ends.
